Misco Products Installs Solar Panels

Just in time for Earth Day, a Berks County company is going green.Misco Products is hooking up 13,000 solar panels in Bern Township.Officials said the panels will produce enough solar energy for 30 homes, or 30% of Misco's operations.It's going to cover essentially three quarters of our entire building complex here, almost 100,000 square feet, said David Kutz. We believe it's the largest in Berks County and one of the largest in Pennsylvania.Misco said it's an expensive undertaking, but it'll pay for itself after about ten years. The company makes chemicals for cleaning supplies.
