Solar Solutions for Water Districts & Agencies
Borrego Solar is partnering with water agencies, authorities, districts, and resource boards to install solar electric solutions that lower operating costs and lock in low electricity rates.
Water agencies have a unique advantage when it comes to going solar,
because they’re:
- large consumers of energy
- used to constructing technologically advanced equipment, and oftentimes have engineers on staff who understand the components of a solar power installation
- willing to put some of their unused roof space, land, or parking lots to use generating energy
- looking for ways to keep down taxpayer rates for water
- community leaders looking for ways to protect our natural resources
