We Have the Experience to Ensure the Successful Execution of Your Solar Project

Project buyers across the U.S. work with Borrego Solar because we are a low-risk, end-to-end provider of solar development, EPC, and O&M services. System owners, often referred to as Independent power producers (IPPs) or non-utility generators (NUGs), either buy commercially operable assets from us or hire us to develop, engineer, construct, operate and maintain their own large-scale solar power systems—typically 1MW to 50MW in capacity—as needed. Our expert solar consulting and development teams help IPPs determine how to implement solutions at the lowest cost with the least amount of risk.

“Borrego Solar has consistently provided us with the highest quality operational management. The Borrego O&M team has gone above and beyond by not just solving operational issues, but providing pro-active solutions before problems occur. Our portfolio covers a wide range of system sizes, locations, layouts and major equipment providers; Borrego has the scope and expertise to manage every type of installation.

Optimize the Full Lifecycle of a Solar PV Installation

Our team provides program management to optimize portfolio projects and ensures their successful completion. Our project finance team offers experienced IPPs the opportunity to invest in a pipeline of desirable shovel ready projects. We also operate and maintain existing one-off solar assets as well as larger photovoltaic (PV) portfolios across the U.S. for investment funds and YieldCos with a national footprint.

Solar EPC Expertise for IPPs

We have the experience to get projects built on time and within budget. Our services complement the needs of project owners and independent solar power producers. Our warranties and production guarantees eliminate development and construction risk while enabling independent power suppliers to exceed financial expectations.

“When choosing an EPC or developer to work with, we focus on those that don’t just announce projects, but actually put steel in the ground. Borrego Solar comes with a unique combination of development, engineering, construction and finance experience that allows them to breathe new life into stranded mid-stage projects and turns them into high-value financeable assets that meet strict investment standards. Borrego Solar is a low-risk partner for independent power producers like sPower.

Ryan Creamer, CEO, sPower

With services spanning the entire multi-megawatt solar project lifecycle, Borrego Solar is uniquely positioned as the conduit among hosts, off-takers, system owners, and utilities. To find out more about how we work with IPPs, contact us.
