Curriculum - Borrego Solar will provide your school with a full solar curriculum for three grade levels, and a day of professional teacher development to implement the curriculum into the classroom. The Borrego Solar Curriculum meets all state standards and is endorsed by many teachers. The curriculum uses real data from the school's solar generation system and engages students through lesson plans, training modules, and solar kits.
Community Program - the Borrego Solar community program serves to educate your school’s community about renewable energy and the difference the school is making by going solar. If a community member chooses to go solar, we will provide a substantial discount and we will donate $500 per community system to the school!
DSA Experience - Borrego Solar has experience working with the DSA on a number of solar projects for California public schools. Because we have worked with the DSA in multiple jurisdictions on a variety of structures, we have a strong DSA relationship that goes all the way to the top. This relationship allows us to get your schools project approved by the DSA so that we can build systems promptly, safely and with the least impact on your school.
School Centric Warranty - Borrego understands schools concerns about longevity, reliability, and accountability. That is why we are developing a special schools warranty to meet school’s special needs so that the cost of a solar system is removed from your operating budget. To stand behind our product we can offer an extended warranty to give piece of mind that the system will operate at maximum efficiency for 20 years. To address theft and vandalism we can offer a theft protection plan for extra security or to replace stolen or damaged modules. We can also offer extended O&M services to transfer all maintenance duties of the system from the school to us.
Response Guarantee - As part of our warranty Borrego Solar is the only solar installer who offers a 24-hour response guarantee on your system. This is particularly beneficial to schools since all of our school systems have web based data monitoring programmed to email us immediately if there is an issue with the system. If your solar system stops operating for any reason, we pledge to send a service technician to work on the issue within 24 hours.
Marketing - Our partnership with Schwartz Communications allows us to publicize our customer’s looking to spread the solar message. We will work closely with your community outreach representative or marketing team to reach local and national press to highlight the environmentally responsible efforts your facility is taking by educating our next generation while reducing their operating costs.
