Professional Electrical Engineer

Borrego Solar is seeking a licensed electrical engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience post registration in power generation field looking to relocate and work in our Lowell, MA office. The candidate will work with a team of design engineers, project managers and engineering consultants to review and approve designs for commercial, government and utility solar PV projects. The incumbent will also work as part of the company’s Resources Group to evaluate solar products and provide input and feedback on ideas on reducing lifecycle costs. Primary duties include the investigation and analysis of client’s existing electrical services and Borrego's current electrical design method for PV systems. Duties will also include assessment of utility interconnection methods based on site analysis. As the first licensed electrical engineer in the company, the incumbent will be required to educate junior engineers as well as develop and document electrical standards and analysis techniques for the company.
