Borrego Solar Systems, Inc. specializes in commercial, residential and public sector turnkey, grid–connected solar electric systems. With over 25 years of experience and a portfolio of over 800 solar photovoltaic projects, we are well–established and reliable. Our 3–decade presence in the industry has provided us with the knowledge, experience and analytical tools to accurately predict system production and financial payback. Our proven methods, combined with the integration of the latest technology, ensure our photovoltaic systems deliver the greatest possible return on investment to our customers. With offices in San Diego, Berkeley, Sonoma, Silicon Valley, Orange County and Boston, we provide installation and support throughout California and New England.

Exceptional Service — We provide you with excellent service before, during and after installation by paying careful attention to the details and by closely monitoring your solar power system’s performance after it’s up and running.

Our Reliability Pledge — We apply a rigorous process to ensure that your system meets the highest standards for quality and reliability. We are so confident in the reliability of our work that if your system is ever down for more than a day we will pay you for your lost power. All systems come with a 10–year total warranty and a 25–year warranty for the solar modules.

We “Walk the Talk”

At Borrego Solar we strongly believe in the use of renewable energy and sustainable business practices. Our office building houses a 30 kW solar energy system. We go out of our way to recycle as much waste from our installations and operation as possible and we purchase from Green vendors whenever we are able. We pay all of our employees a living wage, vacation, and benefits. We also strongly support continued education of our employees through product training courses, seminars, and certifications.

As of March of 2006, we are an Alameda County certified Green Business. As part of this certification process we went through and extensive audit of all of our business practices. As a result, we have developed better recycling processes for our construction and office waste, and we have reduced our overall energy consumption. We are working to make our entire business operation carbon neutral through the purchase of carbon offsets.

Solar Contractor License & Certification

Borrego Solar is a licensed and bonded California solar energy contractor. We have the qualifications and insurance to handle projects of any size and scope. Borrego Solar carries both a C–46Solar and C–10 Electrical license. In addition, fifteen Borrego Solar employees are NABCEP Certified. NABCEP ( North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) provides a set of national standards by which photovoltaic installers with skills and experience distinguish themselves. There are currently fewer than 200 NABCEP certified installers in the entire country.
