Mr. David Dutil is the Principal Structural Engineer for Borrego Solar based out of the New England office. David oversees the structural engineering department supporting projects in all phases from development to engineering and construction. His team is responsible for evaluating new and existing building structures as well as foundation systems and soil conditions for their ability to support proposed roof, ground, or carport mounted solar arrays. With a focus on properties in throughout the country, his team provides engineering assessments of racking designs and various installation components to help ensure the designed and constructed PV systems are compliant with any known load limitations and applicable codes. Before joining Borrego Solar in 2011, David was a consulting structural engineer with Daigle Engineers, Inc. for seven years where he worked on a broad range of building related design projects. David is currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in 11 states and is a LEED® Accredited Professional. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
