John duPont is Borrego Solar’s Vice President of Engineering, based out of the New England Regional Headquarters in Lowell, MA. John leads Borrego Solar’s professional engineering and systems engineering teams to develop the product and design standards for solar and storage facilities that exceed our customers’ expectations for safety, quality, and cost effectiveness. He joined Borrego Solar in 2016 to co-found Borrego’s energy storage division, build a technology knowledge base and lead engineering and technical integration of energy storage for commercial scale projects. Prior to joining Borrego Solar, John spent six years at EnerNOC, where he held multiple roles in engineering, project management, and product marketing of energy efficiency, energy intelligence software, and distributed energy systems. John has extensive experience in energy engineering and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and controls systems, and is a licensed Mechanical Engineer with the State of California. John received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and his master’s degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
